Without a rental car, you can take a public bus to Antequera, where we or a taxi driver can pick you up; however, you would miss the opportunity to explore this beautiful region independently.
Route
From Malaga Airport: approximately 55 minutes. Take the motorway towards Cordoba/Granada. At the split, take the motorway to the right towards Granada (MA92).
Continue until exit number 1 = Salinas/Villanueva de Tapia
Turn left towards Villanueva de Tapia.
After 8 km: turn left and follow the uphill road towards Villanueva de Algaidas (MA-6100)
Do not enter Tapia; continue past it.
After 6.7 km, you will arrive (between kilometre markers 3 and 2, on the left-hand side of the road at 2 garages – one painted white with a green gate – with illuminated signs).
If you arrive via the centre of Villanueva de Algaidas, drive to the end of the main street and at the 90° bend continue straight ahead towards Cuevas de San Marcos. After about 4 km, turn right onto the MA-6100 towards Villanueva de Tapia. After approximately 3 km, you will first pass an Almazara (olive press) on your left; the next house on the right with a red driveway is Casa Valle de Oro.
Casa Valle de Oro is located along a well-paved road and offers ample parking space.
